Имею контроллер scsi, вроде aic2902, и диск. При установке в слот при
загрузке этот контроллер попадает в число PCI устройств, однако более
нигде в биосе не появляется. При нажатии Ctrl-A при старте ничего не
происходит, соответственно, загрузиться со сказевика не получается.
Тем не менее, modprobe aic7xxx грузит драйвер, а fdisk /dev/sda
показывает разбивку диска. Что бы это могло значить? Обычно сказевые
контроллеры сами рассказывают про себя при старте и предлагают Ctrl-A
нажать для сетапа. Может кто сталкивался с таким безобразием?

Если у них живой BIOS. Если его нет или он выключен, то так и будет.
