Да, верно. Но ведь это, как я понял, можно поправить в конфиге
самого hal?

Похоже, это такая же бяка, что была и у меня: /dev/cdrom указывал на
hdd, а потом вдруг стал hdb. Пришлось править и fstab, и ссылки на
устройства.
