Максим все делал не так с самого начала.
Эта известная проблема (с кодировками)с которой встречаются многие
Мне известно 4 пути решения данной задачи
1 Прописать fstab руками. (самый плохой путь, но работает и я его
использую для себя ). Где для накопителей необходимо создать
отдельные директори без имени storage, например MobailDisk или
Flash для флешки. Это обязательное условие, иначе получишь
"неуправляемые FSTABы" , точней эти файлы начнут плодиться как
кролики.
2 Найти и освоить дистрибутив другого разработчика где эта проблема
решена. ( несколько рисковый способ требующий определенного
авантюризма, что в общем полезно в небольших количествах ;) В
современном мире побеждает не самый лучший, побеждает самый
популярный, таковы реалии.
3 Покопаться в man updfstab и
/usr/share/doc/kernel-doc-std***/usb/hotplug.txt usb-help.txt (это в
моем случае, у меня C2.3, в М2.4 может быть немного подругому).
Понять как изменить файл USB.h или IOCTL.h. Если из этого что -то
получиться очень желательно поделиться в community.
4 переустановить linux, при установке кодировку выбрать cp1251
