Не всегда то, что поддерживает винт, поддерживает мать и ядро:
# hdparm -X70 /dev/hda
/dev/hda:
setting xfermode to 70 (UltraDMA mode6)
HDIO_DRIVE_CMD(setxfermode) failed: Input/output error
В логах:
hda: drive_cmd: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hda: drive_cmd: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }
А винт - поддерживает.
