Да руками, руками. Целиком.
Но лучше это делать таки из single-mode. А еще лучше
wrar@wrars-comp ~ $ grep tm /etc/fstab
tmp /tmp tmpfs size=1g 0 0
usertmp /home/wrar/tmp tmpfs size=1g 0 0
Чиститься будет само при выключении.
