Ну и что? Каждый раз перед запуском править ~/.xmms/config?
Если бы запретить ему запоминать последнй плэйлист, но не видел такой опции в настройках.
Можно, конечно попробовать права 444 на ~/.xmms/config и на ~/.xmms/xmms.m3u

Ну, на крайняк это может делать обёртка в ~/bin/xmms...
В принципе, я могу сделать так, что при определённости, скажем,
XMMS_OPENDIR (в каком ~/.bashrc) /usr/bin/xmms подменял эту
строчку в конфиге.
Если такое будет полезно -- опять же FR в сту^Wбагзиллу, pls.

Можно и так, но это тоже некоторое неудобство.
