Я отчасти прогнал. Бишь e.g. GeForce 256 и GF2 GTS отвалились
(судя по README), а GF2 MX400 и GF4 MX440 -- должны работать.
С MX400 вот час назад проверили, именно что работает (из 3.0rc7).

Об этом тоже сказано в bugzilla... для 3.0 не успевали.
Собсно уже ясно, что проблема в инсталере (нет модуля nvidia.ko).
