Это хорошо, вот только и вопросов не должно было быть. :)

Насколько помню, там он есть -- порекомендуете переложить в
updates?
Вообще давайте всё-таки хоть под начало 3.0 починим XMMS
в 2.4+updates... если мне помогут с тестированием (и результатом
-- списком пакетов, которые есть в backports и исправляют
проблемы версий из ALM2.4) -- обязуюсь поспособствовать их
переезду в updates/2.[43].

Да, никто не взялся починить и найти на то время рабочих
исправлений тоже не вышло.
Написать вменяемый CDDA-плагин к XMMS на базе двух имеющихся тоже
никто не добрался, а сейчас уже и поздно, пожалуй.
