есть такое.
у меня Intel Corporation 82801DB/DBL/DBM (ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Modem Controller (rev 03).
с slmodemd тоже постояннные траблы - достал он уже.
действительно: ttySL0 создаёт сам демон (это линк на один из ptys что ли),
так что отследить через всякие sysfs не реально.
теряет несущую при первом запуске. лечит смешно:
rmmod slamr (в моём случае)
modprobe slamr
service slmodemd start
ради такого дела даже выкинул его из автостарта при загрузке.
