Только что купил флешку Kingston на 256 Мб. Делаю fdisk -l:
Disk /dev/sda: 257 MB, 257949696 bytes
8 heads, 63 sectors/track, 999 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 504 * 512 = 258048 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 1000 251872+ e W95 FAT16 (LBA)
Partition 1 has different physical/logical endings:
phys=(998, 7, 63) logical=(999, 4, 60)
Делаю cfdisk /dev/sda:
FATAL ERROR: Bad primary partition 0: Partition ends in the final partial cylinder
Press any key to exit cfdisk
Но вроде монтируется.
Переформатировать? Или и так нормально?
С др. стороны, если я ее переразбить захочу, чем это делать, если cfdisk
не хочет работать?
Кстати, стоит ли ставить на нее FAT32?

фдиском снеси или dd if=/dev/zero

говорят что нет, типа повышенный износ того места где фат.
говорят что здесь рулит jffs. имхо ext3 тоже подойдет.
конечно необходимость носить между ОСями автоматически сводит все к vfat.

Эт всё понятно, тока jffs на блочных устройствах напрямую не работает.
А вообще вопрос был в том, лучше ли фат32, чем фат16.
