Ядро из Сизифа с модулями kernel-modules-fglrx поставили? Версии
kernel-modules-fglrx и fglrx_glx должны соответствовать друг другу, иначе
3D не работает. В принципе можно собрать нужную версию модулей и для
более старого ядра, но это придётся делать самостоятельно.
Что в /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?
