Помня о том, что Антон совсем недавно опубликовал инструкцию по
изготовлению собственного флэш-Линукса, хотелось бы обратить
внимание публики на прелестный Puppy Linux
http://www.goosee.com/puppy/index.shtml размером всего 60 Мб. Он
изначально изготовлен для загрузки с флэш-брелка. Файлики-то я
перекопировал, но, увы. Оказалось, что ни одна из трёх моих машин
не умеет грузиться с такого устройства (с USB-дисководов -
пожалуйста). До четвёртой я ещё не добрался, но и на неё надежды
мало.
Поэтому просьба к тем, у кого материнские платы посвежее,
испытать Puppy, не пожалеете. С CD он прекрасно грузится в
память, высвобождая дисковод. Через пять минут легко получается
сетевая рабочая станция. С настройками Х-ов на моём стареньком
Radeon 7000 - никаких проблем.
По результатам можно было бы сообразить, что и на ALT карманный
Линукс тоже получится.
