Если я назвал два процессора, то значит установил на две домашние
машины. Gentoo и сейчас стоит в качестве второго Линукса на этой
домашней машине. У них общие разделы /boot и swap, разделы из
одного Линукса в другой я легко монтирую и файлами обмениваюсь.
Вот только что возился в Gentoo с консольными шрифтами terminus,
которые взял из ALT. Gentoo я поддерживаю в актуальном состоянии
(сегодня не было обновлений моих файлов, а в хранилище их на сей
день 117 тысяч!) Сейчас в Gentoo у меня есть практически всё, что
в Сизифе. Почти всё. Например, OpenOffice я не ставил. Машинка у
меня всё-таки слабовата для таких больших сборок. Подожду до
покупки процессора помощнее. А в результате приду к тому, что
неплохо иметь двухпроцессорную (двухядерную) тачку :-). Кстати, в
Gentoo есть возможность привлечь к процессу сборки соседние
машины локальной сети (distcc), я пока этот режим не пробовал. Но
интересно. И ядро с openmosix в портиджах тоже есть. Так что с
LTSP тоже можно экспериментировать.
