Надо скачать
ftp://ftp.altlinux.org/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Master/2.4/images/bootdisk.img
ftp://ftp.altlinux.org/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Master/2.4/images/network.img
ftp://ftp.altlinux.org/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Master/2.4/dosutils/rawwritewin.exe
и при помощи последнего нанести первое и второе на две дискетки,
с которых и грузиться.
На ноутбуке придётся поднять NFS-сервер -- кажется, это было
описано в документации, если нет -- NFS-HOWTO. Вкратце:
apt-get install portmap nfs-server
man exports
echo "/mnt/cdrom hostname_or_ip(ro)" >> /etc/exports
service nfs restart
(hostname_or_ip -- соотв. тому IP, который будет создаваемому
хосту присвоен при загрузке с дискеток)
