Subject: [Comm] Слетел apt. Что делать?

Эх. Обидно то как. Только недавно поставил ALM2.4
И почти сразу же умудрился его положить.
А дело было в чем:
Надоело пихать DVD с пакетами, ну и переписал я их в /var/cache/apt/archives
Друг так делал - у него работает. Ставятся прямо оттуда пакеты.
А у меня нет :(
Ну я взял, да и переписал их, как советую в другой каталог. И соответственно sources.list поправил.
Только не помогло. Все равно не видит apt этих пакетов.
А сейчас, даже поиск перестал работать. Т.е. apt-cache search находит только те пакеты, которые уже в системе инсталлированы.
Подскажите: что я поломал и как починить?
