Совет номер 1: сперва добейтесь, чтобы работало "resolve ya.ru", а уже
потом смотрите "ping ya.ru". Причина в том, что resolve существенно проще
чем ping, плюс к тому последний работает в чруте.

Совет номер 2: поставьте на всякий случай пакет glibc.
Возможно, у вас не установлен пакет glibc-nss, который нужен для того,
чтобы "resolve ya.ru" работало. При установке почти виртуального пакета
glibc будет установлен и пакет glibc-nss, и ещё несколько пакетов, которые
могут вам понадобиться в будущем.
