Он самый. Пробовал, работает -- дивная штука.
Только сперва стоит
dd if=/dev/hdX of=/куда/нить/в/сторонку/hdX.mbr bs=512 count=1
и при необходимости вернуть на место.
*Вдумчиво*, не спеша прочитать manpage и пройтись сперва
искалкой, а потом искалкой с исправлялкой partition table --
и, может статься, всё не так уж плохо.
