Иксы и ядро (точнее, DRI в нём). Причём 2.6 само по себе не
поможет, почитайте архивы по теме ATI -- _гораздо_ проще взять
дистрибутив, где скорее работает, чем выяснять, как именно надо
станцевать в этом месяце, чтобы заработало на X, Y и Z заданных
версий...

Увы, да. А новые пакеты требуются новым железом (точнее, оно
конфликтует со старыми -- приходится что-то выбирать).

Не, в зависимостях тут проблема скорее та, что они есть и
в основном правильные :)
