Без проблем, сам так смотрю на буке (правда, на обоих машинах -- пингвин). В
твоём случае, необходима установка на вторую машину X сервера, это может быть
cygwin-X, либо любой коммерческий вариант. Собственно, больше ничего не
нужно, запускаешь через putty xawtv с ключами --remote и -display=твойIP:0.0.
Основную машину надо добавить в xhost +IP (о провешивании через ssy и т.п.,
можно забыть сразу: процессор не справится).
Впрочем, учитывая слабость процессора и малый объём памяти, более
целесообразно действительно, грузить машину в режиме терминала (тем паче, что
твои будут довольны -- получить ещё одно быстрое рабочее место "за так" --
это чего-то стоит). Тоже никаких проблем, скачиваешь и устанавливаешь LTSP,
вдумчиво читаешь докуметацию и устанавливаешь. Всё, задача решена...
Но! Нужно чётко понимать, то добиться высокого качества изображения, не
получится. При разворачивании окошка TV на весь экран, будет более, чем
заметна, дёрганость изображения.
