Это да, может быть. Я как-то привык держать отдельный /boot и уже
не очень задумываюсь над тем, надо оно сейчас или не очень. А
привык в те времена, когда у меня корни жили на ReiserFS (сейчас
всё-таки ext3; data=journal -- приятная вещь). Чтобы с /boot не
было проблем, пришлось бы включать для корня notail, чего не
хотелось делать.
