Уф. Если кому-то всё же нелениво (wrar, lakostis, anyone? :) -- поместить-то дело нехитрое. Но на сейчас вкратце могу предположить три мотива: - железо не работает под 2.4 и известно, что работает под 2.6; - разработчик, который тестирует next gen и закидывает/фиксит баги; - just for fun.
