Вот так вот, получил только два практически одинаковых ответа.
Но на 2.6.8 я перешел не просто так, в 2.4 отказывался работать USB ИК порт
На мой вопрос о том, как его завести под старым ядром, ответа не было.
А по k3b я ожидал все-таки более конструктивного ответа, тем более, что под
рутом он работает нормально, а значит, как мне кажется, при правильной
расстановке прав он должен работать нормально и под любым юзером.
