Я тоже об этом сожалею.
Недавно выбирал домашний принтер, рассматривал
как раз два варианта - недорогие (до 100$)
HP 3745 и Canon PIXMA 2000.
Выбрал Canon исходя из того, что качество печати
фотографий - заметно невооруженным глазом лучше чем у HP.
При этом я уже знал, что Canon под Linux использовать
вряд ли получится, а с HP как раз все наоборот.
Но делая такой выбор, я исходил из того, что покупаю
железо для покрытия своих нужд, а не исходя из возможностей Linux.
Ну что тут сделаешь, если слишком многие производители железа
не заботятся о Linux-пользователях?
Не выбирать же, то что меня не устраивает, но устраивает мою ОС?
Так что без винды и не туды и не сюды... :-)
