Всем привет!
Почему-то при попытке выполнить команду
# service mysqld start
получаю в ответ:
Adjusting environment for mysqld: [FAILED]
в /var/log/mysql/info при этом ничего не появляется, в
/var/log/messages - тоже ничего (кроме вышеупомянутой фразы).
Соответственно при загрузке системы "MySQLD" тоже не
запускается. Но если ввести команду
# /usr/sbin/safe_mysqld &
то всё срабатывает:
[root@pentusha log]# /usr/sbin/safe_mysqld &
[1] 1803
[root@pentusha log]# [1]+ Done /usr/sbin/safe_mysqld
после этого можно остановить демон командой
# service mysqld stop
в /var/log/mysql/info после всего этого остаются записи типа:
2004-Nov-26 22:35:44 :: startup
041126 22:35:44 Warning: --chroot option doesn't provide 100%
closed chroot jail in MySQL 3.23. Upgrade to 4.0
/usr/sbin/mysqld: ready for connections
041126 22:36:40 /usr/sbin/mysqld: Normal shutdown
041126 22:36:40 /usr/sbin/mysqld: Shutdown Complete
2004-Nov-26 22:36:40 :: execution succeded
2004-Nov-26 22:36:40 :: shutdown
Стоит "Master 2.2", "MySQL 3.23.55" из дистрибутива, с настройкой
по умолчанию.
Подскажите, пожалуйста, как мне всё-таки заставить его
запускаться автоматически, или где ещё покопаться.
