Не так всё просто. И с матерями под Атлоны проблем больше, и чисто
софтовые бывают, в общем, нельзя всё на охлаждение валить.
И ещё: когда для организации покупается сервер, который будет работать в
режиме нон-стоп в течении нескольких лет, обслуживая инфопотребности
нескольких муниципальных служб города одновременно, мне менее всего
хочется лично заниматься выдавливанием термопасты на его процессор.
Применять самосбор для серьёзных целей -- это не дело. Есть уважаемый
производитель, есть модель сервера, которая протестирована на
совместимость именно с тем, что я буду на ней гонять... В этом случае
уже не так важно, какой фирмы процессор. Но Intel'ам я всё равно
доверяю больше :-)
