Ну пакет с g++ наз-ся gcc3.3-c++, но вообще советуют ставить rpm-build
потому, что он вытянет еще кучу полезных для сборки вещей.

Это ещё что. Мне вот сегодня приснилось, что я собираю elinks с
поддержкой gnome и kde. Причем процесс сборки отображается на консоли в
виде графа (вроде бы средствами curses, но хитрее: curses так не умеет).
Тут какой-то background connection гадит мне на экран и я судорожно жму
C-L.
