Дык написано же англицким по белому - "Проверь, работает ли у тебя
File Access Monitor daemon (famd)" ;) "apt-get install fam" и в
/etc/xinetd.d/sgi_fam разреши этот сервис - всё будет как надо.
Похоже, начиная с какой-то версии 3.x.x разработчики courier-imap
решили порльзовать FAM в обязательном порядке. В ветке 2.x.x если
FAM не отзывался, его просто молча не использовали. Поэтому и в
пакете courier-imap нет зависимости на пакет fam. В очередной сборке
наверное придется поставить ... %)
