Доброго времени суток?
Хотелось бы узнать мнение уважаемого сообщества на тему чем лучше
пользоваться: GNU Emacs или XEmacs.
Пока у меня складывается следующее впечатление:
GNU тормозит при работе, но при этом на порядок легче настраивается.
Под XEmacs у меня упорно не выходит ничего настроить. Установить пакеты к
нему вручную я не могу, входящие в дистрибутив меня не устраивают, а
автоматическое обновление пакетов из самого XEmacs не работает.
Оно конечно может руки кривые, но под GNU Emacs все получается.
Зато GNU при загруженных cc-mode и ecb тормозит местами уже неприлично.
Вот и думаю что делать. Затачивать руки под XEmacs? Или это GNU у меня
тормозит по причине все тех же рук? Может какой ресурс кто посоветует?
