Не обязательно - это зависит от степени извращённости разработчиков
материнской платы. Например, у меня на одной машине, если смотреть по
порядку слотов, получается eth2, eth1, eth0, eth3.
Теоретически есть ethtool -p <интерфейс>, но поддерживающие это устройства
и драйверы надо ещё поискать. Остаётся только выяснять методом тыка.
Можно с помощью mii-tool <интерфейс> посмотреть, есть ли связь с хабом -
эта функция работает с большинством карт.
