Самое интересное, что glibc-locales, был установлен с диска...

Помогло, спасибо.
С ядром вообще получилось интересно - apt-get install kernel-тра-ляля-2.4.26 -
скачалось ядро, установилось - Х-ы не грузятся с руганью на видео, XFdrake не
помогает, ага, думаю, значит еще и дрова наверное надо посвежее на видео -
снова aprt-get, установить, ок, качает, устанавливает и что я вижу? кроме
дров на видео он еще скачал и ЯДРО, причем то, которое шло в ДИСТРИБУТИВЕ,
т.е. 2.4.22, блин, и это на диалапе...
Ну да ладно, Х-ы работают, правда звук пропал, но надеюсь это поправлю.
Какие драйвера все-таки нужны для 2.4.26?
