Вообще изучение истории LTSP (оригинального) наводит на довольно
грустные размышления об управляемости таким проектом: он
основывался на выдернутых из RH RPMS бинарях с поправленными
конфигами.
Есть мнение, что можно попробовать в рамках альта с ипользованием
опыта людей, создавших не одно терминальное решение, попробовать
сделать это все нормально, благо технологическая подложка есть.
Мы (ЕМТ) в это заинтересованы и всячески поддержим, кстати.
