Боюсь, это только тренировка. +имейте в виду, что
инкрементальный (раз в день, неделю, ну месяц, но не полгода)
dist-upgrade обычно легче переживается.

Как говорил Victor Wagner [прокомментирую], "помощь в публичном
месте -- это самовыражение [и она архивируется и ищется], а
личная -- это техподдержка [а за нее обычно принято платить]".
На самом деле плохо отрывать незнакомых людей, выдирать их из
контекста всеми этими IM.
Лучше -- подумать самому, погуглить, если не получается -- тогда
уже писать в публичные рассылки, группы новостей, форумы. Да и
продуктивнее обычно, т.к. покрытие гугля побольше будет.
