Боюсь, осмысленно пробовать уже бету 2.4 (ftp://beta.altlinux.ru,
также на ftp://ftp.linux.kiev.ua/pub/Linux/ALT/beta) -- пока
ощущения сложатся, глядишь, уже и релиз.
На моей практике такой подход оказался более оправданным, чем
установка более чем годовалой версии в преддверии новой _в_
случае наличия серьезных проблем с железом.
