"Методом компилирования" --- это "tar xzvf ; configure; make ; make
install" из исходников? Тогда rpm здесь ни с какой стороны не причём.
Читайте README или INSTALL файл из исходников установленной программы.
Там должно быть написано, как её удалять. Посмотрите makefile
собираемой программы. Если ничего нет, то просто посмотрите в makefilе,
куда ставятся файлы и удаляйте их оттуда руками. Только аккуратно :-)
