пропишите в /etc/ppp/options строчку
debug
позвоните и пришлите результат из /var/log/daemons/info ну или чего у вас
там на 12 консоле вылезет, после работы pppd
P.S. Посмотрите внимательно чего отсылаете, пароль доступа может быть в
открытом виде.
