Здравствуйте, community.
Имеется компьютер: i848 Celeron2.0 MX440
Винт на SATA
Дистрибутив Alt Master 2.2, ядро родное 2.4.20. При запуске
Инсталлятора повисает на моменте определения IDE Devices.
Уто виноват и что делать?

Мастер 2.2 не поддерживает SATA. Вам надо заапгрейдится на
Compact 2.3.
В качестве альтернативы можно попробовать перевести
SATA-контроллер в режим эмуляции/совместимости (не знаю как
правильно ибо SATA у меня нет) с IDE.
