Люди! поставил себе Гимп 2.0 (из Сизифа). попытка запуска выглядит так:
[topper@Topper topper]$ gimp-2.0
gimp-2.0: error while loading shared libraries: gimp-2.0: undefined
symbol: gdk_threads_lock
libgimp2 установлен.
что ковырять? насколько сильно себя пинать?

На что и как Вы его ставили?

а в ориджине уже не видать, да? :) полное обновление - 26 января. после
этого постоянно выкачивал что-то новое.
а ставил просто: apt-get install gimp2.
Проблему уже решил сам. для нормальной работы надо обновить glibc (у
меня уже стояла последняя), а так же libgtk:
#apt-get install libgtk+2 libgtk+mdk
