Всё зависит от Вашего уровня. Советую почитать Эви Немет "Руководство
администратора Linux". Правда, в электронном виде я его не встречал. А так...

Судя по Вашим вопросам и высказываниям -- Вы не являетесь администратором
локальной сети. Это так?
