И вообще такое ощущение, что вы взяли ядро 2.6.5 не из Сизифа, а
собрали самостоятельно, при этом не прочитав соответствующую
документацию по поводу перехода на 2.6. В Сизифе пакеты modutils и
mkinitrd поддерживают 2.6.
Хотя с lvm действительно проблема. В 2.6 убрали модули LVM1
(lvm-mod, который был в 2.4); вместо них предполагается использовать
Device Mapper и LVM2 в userspace, но пакетов LVM2 в Сизифе пока нет.
