Вряд ли виновато ядро. У меня 2.4.22 из Cjmpact'а от 29 янв 2004
и изовый модем Eline на 33600 (не смейтесь, пожалуйста, просто
внешний USR сгорел и находится в ремонте :-).
Не пришлось делать совершенно никаких телодвижений, чтобы всё
заработало (разве что, перекинуть симлинк /dev/modem на
соответствующий /dev/ttyS*).
