Поставил на ALM2.2 postfix-2.0.13 c ftp.atmsk.ru
Настраиваю по инструкции с http://www.atmsk.ru/index.php?option=articles&task=viewarticle&artid=26
Вроде запустился
делаю локальную отправку - в логе вот что -

Как лечить данное ?
И еще вопрос - почему при старте postfix не стартует ни SMTP ни POP3 сервер
- какие приложения выполняют их роль ?

при старте postfix не стартовал, не стартует и не будет стартовать
pop3-сервер. потому что это совершенно разные приложения.
