[smog]

При установке линукс коммандера вижу такое!

Что делать ! При попытке установить glib-1.2.2-1.i386.rpm 
[root@Smog need]# rpm -U --force glib-1.2.2-1.i386.rpm
ошибка: неудовлетворенные зависимости:
        glib >= 1.2.10 нужен для gtk+-1.2.10-alt8
Чегото я тут не понимаю!

Возьмите GLIB из репозитария ALT, зачем Вы устанавливаете версию от RH на
ALT?

rpm -qa | grep glib- должен расставить точки над "ы".

Подозреваю, что в системе творится легкая каша из версий пакетов;
еще догадываюсь, что это скорее редхат, а не альт:

home:~> rpm -qR glib-devel | grep glib
glib = 1.2.10-alt8
