Ну, на свежезагруженной системе, да и после прохода badblocks, в
кэшах вряд осядет что-то полезное.
А вот инструмент типа smartctl (из пакета smartmontools) может
выдать много полезной информации о состоянии диска. В частности,
там есть возможность запуска внутренних тестов диска - в режиме -t
long фактически при этом проводится тест поверхности.
