300-350 метров для 802.11b бывают разными. Те же самые стены, особенно
бетонные, с арматурой, нехило уменьшают это расстояние.
На открытой местности, с прямой видимостью, практически все работает. С
использованием внешних антенн так же можно увеличить дальность.
У нас работают в основном Orinoco Silver. C внешними антеннами - на
пару километров. Длиннее, по-моему, особо нет - пара линков на 4-5 км, но с
ними уже бывают проблемы с пропаданием связи.
