Эту проблему я тоже не поборол (да и не старался очень-то :-) У меня
более чем две базы одновременно открыть не получается (базы примерно по
30М каждая). Причем даже никаких ошибок не пишет, просто в процессе
закрузки пропадает заставка, а программа не появляется :-( Никакое
шаманство с вышеупомянутыми /etc/default/merge и т.п. не помогло.
