в lilo.conf есть такая строчка append с параметрами. Очень хочется узнать назначение всех возможных параметров.
Сейчаз ситуация такая:
image = /boot/vmlinuz
label = linux
append = "hdc=ide-scsi hdclun=0 acpi=off nosmp showopts"
initrd = /boot/initrd
optional
root = /dev/hda2
vga = 792
other = /dev/hda1
label = windows
image = /boot/vmlinuz.shipped
label = safemode
append = "showopts ide=nodma apm=off acpi=off nosmp noapic maxcpus=0 3"
initrd = /boot/initrd.shipped
optional
root = /dev/hda2
vga = normal
Некоторые опции (ide=nodma, acpi=off, nosmp, hdc=ide-scsi) мне понятны, но остальные нет :-\ Где можно почитать? в man lilo и lilo.conf ничего толком не написано про опции...

А это не LILO опции - это опции ядра.
Читать в /usr/share/doc/kernel-doc*
