Я, так особенно не выяснял "насколько IMAP лучше POP?".
Когда поднимал сервера на Линуксе, закрыл POP и дал доступ к почте
только по IMAP. Если у IMAP все возможности POP и даже больше, зачем мне
POP? Поищи сейчас MUA который не знает IMAP.
ЗЫ.И Аутглюки на всех клиентах сносил сразу (чтобы пользователи и не
знали, что есть такой MUA), ставил всем The...(ну не важно), сейчас
внедряю на клиентских машинах Mozilla.
