Это не Athlon. Ищите жуков в _своей_ системе. У меня тоже
система на Athlon, никаких mem=nopentium и в помине нет.

Опять ищите у себя. Я modelines руками записал в XF86Config-4,
и мой Radon 9000 Pro работает _только_ на этих modelines.
Основное разрешение -- 1024х768.
