В 2.6.0-test7,8 работают sleep, standby, suspend-to-disk. Не во всех
случаях еще восстанавливается, но прогресс наблюдается.
Также с вышедшим вчера патчем DBS (demand-based switch) можно добиваться
долгой жизни батареи; этот патч вполне можно портировать в 2.4, без особых
проблем, было бы время. Он позволяет динамически менять скорость
процессора в зависимости от его idle time в текущий момент. Если процессор
простаивает не более 20% времени с момента последней проверки, то частота
поднимается, если более 80% -- частота опускается на минимум и в
промежутке между ними скачет по градациям. Очень эффективно -- нужно
основательно нагружать ноутбук, чтобы вывести его на максимальные (для
моей модели) 1.3ГГц, постоянно норовит "сидеть" на 600МГц. Что
удивительно, на производительности и реактивности ноутбука это совсем не
сказывается, зато вентилятор практически не включается.
