А не проще:
1) сделать
echo button >> /etc/modules
sudo apt-get install acpid
sudo chkconfig acpid on
и
modprobe button
sudo service acpid start
или reboot, если button не загрузится (бывают нюансы "после"),
после чего для выключения ATX-based используется просто кнопка
питания, ИЛИ
2) изменить в /etc/inittab
/sbin/shutdown -t3 -r now
на
/sbin/poweroff
и использовать Ctrl-Alt-Del?
